JADEN’S TAKE ON GENDER FLUIDITY

Hindustan Times (Patna) - Live - - Entertainment -

Actor Jaden Smith (left) hopes that by wearing female clothing he can change the attitude towards gender fluid youngsters. The 17-year-old actor and singer often posts pictures of himself on Instagram wearing nail polish and skirts and he believes that his fame can help to remove the stigma around gender fluidity.

“So, you know, in five years when a kid goes to school wearing a skirt, he won't get beaten up and kids won't get mad at him. I'm taking the brunt of it so that later on, my kids and the next generations of kids will all think that certain things are normal that weren't expected before my time,”Jaden said.

Smith’s parents have always encouraged him to be brave, reported female first. “The greatest lesson I've learned from my parents is to be myself, at all costs, no matter what anybody thinks,” he added.
