These are deep-fried, stuffed rice balls that are coated with bread crumbs. They are stuffed with meat, tomato sauce, cheese and peas. There ori­gins lies in Si­cily, Italy. Arancini also has a sweet vari­a­tion where the outer crust is cov­ered with su­gar and ca­cao.
