Won’t take up an Indian TV show: Lauren Gottlieb

Although many Bollywood actors are making their foray into television, actor Lauren Gottlieb (right) says that she doesn’t want to be part of Indian TV. “I uprooted my life and came here. And I still have so much to do in Bollywood. There are great television shows too, but I am not open to them as of now. I don’t mind taking up an American television show, but the role has to be great. I am not interested in just making money. The character needs to be great and I need to be passionate about it,” says Lauren, who was last seen in Punjabi film Ambarsariya.

The actor adds that she is not very keen on taking up regional films either. “I am focussed on Bollywood and am keen to find work here. But of course, if something great comes my way, I might take it up. Shooting for my last film was fun. I was expecting to have problems with Punjabi, but it wasn’t all that difficult. Plus my co-star Diljit (Dosanjh) is a great actor. He helped me out a lot,” she says.

Meanwhile, the actor says that unlike her characters, she is a very shy person in real life. “I am extremely shy and take time to open up. But once the camera is on, I am completely transformed,” she said.
