‘ACTORS TURNING SINGERS ISN’T A THREAT’

Recently actors such as Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor and Salman Khan have crooned for their films. But, this growing trend does not bother singers at all, feels singer Tulsi

Kumar (above). “I don’t think it can ever affect a singer. It has been happening since the 70s when actors such as Ashok Kumar used to sing in their songs. Even now we see actors attempting to sing, which is completely cool since some singers are also attempting to act. Every song requires a certain tone and therefore, singers shouldn’t feel threatened,” says Kumar.

When asked if acting is on Tulsi’s mind, she adds, “No, that is not on my mind. I always feature in my video and people recognise me. However, I don’t intent to take up acting.”

However, there’s something else on her mind. “I would love to get into music direction. Maybe sometime in future,” says Kumar.
