t’s a cake-walk for star kids to enter Bollywood, which is something actor Suniel Shetty’s daughter actor Athiya Shetty (right) agrees with. However, after their debut, they have to prove themselves, says Athiya as she looks to firm up her place in Bollywood by doing quality films.

The 24-year-old says that her focus at this point is to prove her acting prowess in the competitive world of Hindi cinema. “I need to prove myself as an actor. As kids from film family, we’ve a platform but what we do after our first film depends on us, and the journey is important.”

Athiya who made her debut last year opposite actor Sooraj Pancholi in actor-producer Salman Khan’s home production Hero, adds, “I want to work with amazing directors and on good scripts. It’d be difficult to say what I want to do next. It’s about keep learning.”

Stating that she is conscious about choosing films, the actor says, “It’s important as we dedicate one or two years to a film so you should be excited and proud of it. One should feel good while going to work daily.” Athiya will be seen in filmmaker Anees Bazmee’s next.
