mer­i­can singer Bey­once Knowles (left) has de­throned pop star Tay­lor Swift to win the ti­tle of 2016’s Most Char­i­ta­ble Celebrity in an an­nual Celebs Gone Good list by DoSome­thing.org, re­ports aceshow­biz.com.

Dur­ing her per­for­mance at the 2016 MTV Video Mu­sic Awards in Au­gust, Bey­once helped raise aware­ness about Black Lives Mat­ter move­ment and anti-gun vi­o­lence cam­paigns by bring­ing out the moth­ers of young men killed in high-pro­file shoot­ing. She also do­nated more than $82,000 (`55.5 lakh) for Flint and played a Tidal char­ity con­cert to sup­port ed­u­ca­tion.

At num­ber two in the list is Amer­i­can ac­tor-com­poser Lin-Manuel Mi­randa, who had teamed up with singer-ac­tor Jen­nifer Lopez for a char­ity sin­gle, Love Makes The World Go Round, af­ter the shoot­ing at a gay club in Or­lando in June. The pro­ceeds of the song were used in help­ing the vic­tims and sur­vivors.

Swift, mean­while, lands at num­ber three. She had do­nated $1 mil­lion (`6.8 crore) to help those im­pacted by the flood in Louisiana.

Fan votes and ex­pert opin­ion con­trib­uted to the win­ners list that also fea­tured singer Demi Lo­vato, ac­tor Shai­lene Wood­ley, pro­fes­sional wrestler, John Cena, singers Mi­ley Cyrus, Lady Gaga and ac­tors Zen­daya Coleman and Jesse Wil­liams.
