Madonna is not adopt­ing two more chil­dren from Malawi

Af­ter pop icon Madonna (above) ap­peared be­fore Li­longwe High Court judge with two uniden­ti­fied chil­dren, ru­mours of her adopt­ing chil­dren from Malawi, did the rounds. How­ever, the singer has de­nied the re­ports.

“I am in Malawi to check on the chil­dren’s hospi­tal in Blan­tyre and my other work is with or­gan­i­sa­tion, Rais­ing Malawi, and then head­ing home. The ru­mors of an adop­tion process are un­true,” the singer said.

Madonna has adopted two chil­dren son David Banda, 11, in 2006 and daugh­ter Mercy James, 11, in 2009 from the same coun­try.

The 58-year-old pop diva founded her Rais­ing Malawi char­ity in 2006 and is build­ing Queen El­iz­a­beth hospi­tal, the first pe­di­atric hospi­tal in the coun­try, to ben­e­fit the or­phans and un­der­priv­i­leged chil­dren liv­ing there.
