After pop icon Madonna (above) appeared before Lilongwe High Court judge with two unidentified children, rumours of her adopting children from Malawi, did the rounds. However, the singer has denied the reports.
“I am in Malawi to check on the children’s hospital in Blantyre and my other work is with organisation, Raising Malawi, and then heading home. The rumors of an adoption process are untrue,” the singer said.
Madonna has adopted two children son David Banda, 11, in 2006 and daughter Mercy James, 11, in 2009 from the same country.
The 58-year-old pop diva founded her Raising Malawi charity in 2006 and is building Queen Elizabeth hospital, the first pediatric hospital in the country, to benefit the orphans and underprivileged children living there.
