Even though actor Huma Qureshi (right) finds rumours unpleasant, she doesn’t let it get to her. For Huma, relationship with her fans is more important.

The actor was initially linked with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who directed her debut, Gangs of Wasseypur (2012). When asked how she deals with rumours, the actor said, “My family knows what the truth is. I don't let it bother me too much. I always feel that your relationship with your fans is the most important.”

Lately, Huma been linked to actor Sohail Khan, someone who she says is like a brother to her. “Whenever something like this comes up, which is unpleasant and ugly, I just go to social media and I respond to it. Getting linked up to somebody who you consider your brother is a bit much, I feel. It's really sad.”

She added, “I have always responded to all these things on social media. That's how I would like to do it.”

The 30-year-old actor will now be seen in the sequel to the 2013 film Jolly LLB, opposite actor Akshay Kumar, directed by Subhash Kapoor. The first film starred Arshad Warsi in the lead.

Huma says when Kapoor narrated the film, she was instantly on board as she liked the script. She is glad that the film stars Akshay, who will ensure that she gets to tap the huge fan base.

“My biggest hit so far has been Badlapur (2015) but the kind of appreciation and the fan base one will get, because you work with Akshay, will be huge.”
