She is an acclaimed actor in her own right, and is also the wife of Bengali cinema’s current undisputed top actor, Prosenjit Chatterjee. And actor Arpita Chatterjee (above) is all set to make a sizzling debut in Bollywood with Onir’s next film Shab, where she has reportedly gone topless. Ask her about the bold scenes and she retorts, “I don’t know how the media interprets a bold scene. But, barring that, yes there are a couple of scenes. But that’s not only with me, there’s Raveena (Tandon) as well.”

The 43-year-old, who is an established name in the Bengal film industry, decided to begin from the scratch in Bollywood. Ask her what prompted her to take such as decision and she says, “I didn’t have a career road map and I did not know that I would join Bollywood now. BENGALI ACTOR ARPITA CHATTERJEE HAS APPARENTLY GONE TOPLESS IN HER BOLLYWOOD DEBUT IN ONIR’S FILM But, I feel that if something great comes your way, you should embrace it.”

Ask her about her experiences of working with Raveen and she gushes, “Most people don’t know that I have worked with Raveena before. She debuted in the Bengali film industry with me in the film Laboratory (2010) on a story based on Tagore’s novel. As luck would have it, my Bollywood debut is with her. As a person, she is really cool. With her around, you don’t feel any kind of pressure.”
