Filmmaker, Sai Kabir (left) is on a roll these days. The Revolver Rani (2014) director, who has also written the screenplay for Kismat Konnection (2008) and Shaukeens (2014), is working on two scripts, which he plans to start shooting this year. While, the first one stars actor Irrfan, for the second, Kabir plans to cast newcomers. Kabir says, “Divine Lovers is a black comedy. I’ve been working on the script for some time now and have just finished the final draft. We have locked the script after a narration with Irrfan bhai. The second film that I’m working on is tentatively titled Trip. It’s going to be a youth-based film that I am planning to shoot during summer time in Delhi.” Kabir was recently in Delhi for his brother, Vikram Sahai’s pre-wedding preparation. During the period, the filmmaker also got a chance to do recce for his film. Meanwhile, he shares that he has already started auditioning for Trip and that he’s looking for people with merit.

“It’s a story about a group of friends, who belong to the upper middle class and rich bracket. It’s not a dark film, but it’s certainly ironical. Given that it has a fresh casting, I was worried about whether I will be able to find producers for the same. But I am thankful to have my friend Arun Tyagi, who is backing my film. It’s important to have the right kind of producer who supports your vision,” says Kabir.
