Har­ris cred­its Boyle for giv­ing im­pe­tus to her act­ing ca­reer

Ac­tor Naomie Har­ris (above) has thanked di­rec­tor Danny Boyle (inset) for giv­ing her an op­por­tu­nity at the ini­tial stage of her ca­reer.

The 40-year-old ac­tor, who was ap­pointed an OBE by the Queen at Buck­ing­ham Palace rwe­cently, says the di­rec­tor launched her act­ing ca­reer and gave her “a chance when no­body else would” have, re­ported Fe­male­first.

“I credit so much to Danny Boyle. He re­ally gave me a chance when no­body else would at the start of my ca­reer when I had no cred­its to my name,” she said.

“Later on he gave me a part in Frankenstein (2015) at the Na­tional af­ter hav­ing left drama school 10 years be­fore and not hav­ing done any theatre. He took a chance again and that’s how Bond hap­pened,” she said.
