For the current generation, actor Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub (above) has revived the relevance of being a sidekick in a Bollywood film. But he couldn’t help getting into the boots of a journalist, when it came to working with actor Shah Rukh Khan (below).

Delhi-boy Ayyub, who played the character of Sadiq in Khan-starrer Raees says, “While shooting for the film, one day I interviewed Shah Rukh sir about everything that people say about his Delhi days. Jaise sab kehte hain ki Himalaya pe Yeti rehta hai par kisi ne dekha nahi. Waise hi Dilli me 15 panwari kehte hain ki unki udhari chal rahi hai Shah Rukh Khan pe but kisi ko sach pata nahi. Isliye maine ek din Shah Rukh Khan ko kaha ki aap baitho, mujhe aapse kuch sawaal puchne hain.”

Zeeshan says post his conversation with Khan, his respect for him further increased: “Everyone knows about his journey that how he was a nobody in Delhi, and rose to stardom. But he told me that not many people know that when he started his acting career in Mumbai, he did a lot of art films before shifting to commercial cinema.”
