Fans everywhere, but Maniesh doesn’t mind the attention

Television host and actor Maniesh Paul (above) was recently mobbed by fans at the Hong Kong airport and at his hotel. Maniesh — who is known for his wit and comic timing — is hosting and performing at Bollywood star Salman Khan’s Da-Bang world Tour, and is in Hong Kong for its first leg.

According to a source, as soon as Maniesh landed, his fans gathered around him for selfies and autographs, and the actor happily obliged.

Does he ever get annoyed by all this fanfare? “Oh no! It’s overwhelming that fans, even out of India, recognise me and love me for my work. It makes me happy and motivated to work more and keep entertaining the audiences. There have been instances where even the air hostess turned out to be a fan. I’m an actor and, anyway, who doesn’t like attention and unconditional love?” he asks.

As for the endless requests for selfies, Maniesh adds he’s cool with it all. “I’m an actor and performer. Why would I not like being clicked with people who look up to me. A single positive gesture might make the person happy,” says the actor.
