Mahhi Vij is keen on starting a family this year

Unlike popular perception that being married to a person of the same profession can be a bane, actor Mahhi Vij (below) believes that it is not true. Instead, she thinks that it makes it easier to understand the person and be more involved in each others’ lives. “It makes it easy for the other person, as they provide you with a helping hand and you can talk to each other without holding back anything,” says Mahhi, who is married to actor Jay Bhanushali (inset).

The two, who silently tied the knot in a courtroom, have been married for six years now. Ask her how being in the same field has worked wonders to her marriage, Mahhi says, “It actually helps deepen your understanding. Jay and I discuss almost everything. From money to the projects we are working on. We seek each other’s advice,” adding that clash of opinions is a rarity between them. “We are mature enough to not let such things affect us,” says the actor who is known for her role as Nakusha in TV show Laagi Tujhse Lagan. On quizzed about whether the actors plan to start a family any time soon, Mahhi quips, “Yeah, that’s on my mind and I’m keen to start a family this year. Right now, I’m working on something, which I can reveal only after a month or so. Once that [project] finishes, we definitely would plan our family.”
