BLAKE LIVELY IN NEW ACTION FILM
Actor Blake Lively (above) is going to be an MMA fighter. The Hollywood Reporter reveals that the 29-year-old has joined Bruised, a mixed martial arts action drama, directed by The Notebook’s Nick Cassavetes.
The script was circulating among foreign buyers over the weekend. The story focusses on a single mother working two jobs and a former MMA fighter who must return to the cage to keep her son. Sierra/ Affinity, a company that offers film sales services, will introduce the project to buyers at the Cannes Film Festival.
The production is expected to begin in September.
Lively was last seen in The Shallows (2016), which earned $119 million (`762 crore) globally. She had said in an interview earlier that for her role in The Shallows, a survival movie, she had to work out 13 hours a day.
