Veteran actor Reema Lagoo’s (inset) death has not only shocked her fans and colleagues, but has also left a void in their hearts, as they will miss watching Bollywood’s favourite mom on-screen.

In her career spanning almost four decades, Reema worked with many senior actors and among the most popular names, Alok Nath (left) tops the list. The two have shared screen space in many films such as Hum Aapke Hain Koun... !! (1994), Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999), Maine Pyaar Kiya (1989) among others. However, soon after the news of Reema’s death, Nath was unreachable and his phone remained switched off for the whole day. The actor said that he was in Srinagar and hence coundn’t send his obituaries. Finally, a day after we contacted him again, Nath says that he was not in the right frame of mind to talk. “I still don’t know what exactly happened. I just got a Whatsapp message that Reema is no more and I couldn’t believe it. It’s really so sad, so tragic and I cannot digest it, even now,” he says. When asked to recall some cherished moments with his favourite co-actor, an emotional Nath finds it hard to accept that Reema is a memory now. “It’s so strange. Earlier, we lived with the person and now, we have to live with only the lovely memories.” Nath adds that he will remember Reema fondly. “She left us a little too soon.”
