Actor R Madhavan (left) attended a college festival in M.O.P Vaishnav College for Women in Chennai recently.

Although the actor was thrilled to see the response of the crowd, due to their unruly behaviour, the security guards had to escort him inside.

The 46-year-old, who is working on multiple films this year, was the chief guest at the annual festival, where he delivered a talk on education, career goals and women empowerment.

“It was an amazing experience to interact with the students. I was deeply moved by their love and affection. It is true that the crowd can get a little out of hand at such gatherings. However, I like to look at this as love from my fans. These things happen and can’t be avoided,” says the actor, who has acted in films such as 3 Idiots (2010), and the Tanu Weds Manu franchise.

The year 2017 is going to be a busy year for him. The actor has seven films including Munna Michael, Chanda Mama Door Ke and a web series called Breed in the pipeline. Not just that, the actor will also be penning a book on organic farming soon.
