Actor Richa Chadha believes that fresh talent should be encouraged, which will not only help them but benefit the film industry too
Actor Richa Chadha ventured into production with the Punjabi short film Khoon Aali Chithi. Now for her second production, she is keen on finalising a director, who’s new and has a fresh take on filmmaking. She wants to focus on digital content, and is looking for a film school student or an aspiring director.
“I believe that every individual should get a chance to prove their talent,” she says, adding, “Everyone can’t have a godfather to launch them. So if we need good quality content, we need to explore and fetch it. Young filmmakers and their vision today is giving a new perspective to cinema, she says. ” Richa also says that she believes in giving them a chance at this level. “This could go a long way for them and would benefit the film industry as well,” adds Richa, who was last seen in the film Sarbjit (2016).
The Delhi actor has also been part of hit films such as Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), and Masaan (2015). “Richa comes from a non-film background and understands how difficult it is to break into Bollywood without a mentor. She is currently working to zero in on one such director who will get the opportunity to make his debut under her banner,” says a source.
