Actor Gauahar Khan’s (right) short film, Peanut Butter, is winning applause at international film festivals. After Silicon Valley Film Festival, it will now be screened at The Marina del Rey Film Festiva and The Culver City Film Festival in California, in September and December, respectively.
“I’ve tried to make my character of Priya Mathur as real as possible. I’m very excited about the response, and happy that the film has been shown at so many prestigious international film festivals,” says Gauahar, who has earlier worked in television and Bollywood.
The film, which talks about single parenting and abortion, has been directed by Manu Chobe, and is being received well online, too. “Peanut Butter has crossed 3 million views. I hope it receives more love and support,” says Gauahar.
