Preity’s safety service to be launched in Pune
Actor Preity Zinta recently launched a social service campaign, Kavach Safety, aiming towards the safety of women. Now, she’s tying up with various colleges and universities in Pune to spread awareness about her initiative. The emergency response service, backed by a team comprising former army and special force professionals, is designed to help women in unsafe situations. Preity, who is currently in Pune, a city with a large student population, says that the “pilot project” will be set in the city, and the team then aims to target other cities. Delhi is next on their list.
“We are speaking to universities, colleges and corporate firms, so we can sign up our first set of subscribers. We’re doing tie-ups by holding events, safety conferences and other interactive sessions,” says Preity.
“She will be officially launching the service in late August in Pune. For now, they are tying up with universities, meeting police commissioner and setting operations,” adds a source.
