Singh (right) has cov­ered the song, orig­i­nally sung by Pawan Singh. The video al­ready has more than 12,000 shares on Face­book. Where did he hear it first?

“I heard the song dur­ing my col­lege days in Jaipur when I par­tic­i­pated in a cul­tural event. A friend from Chile said I could wow a crowd if I sang Lol­lipop Lagelu.” Did the lyrics con­fuse him? “I’m not sure about its mean­ing but I’ve heard that it’s usu­ally played in a lot of mar­riage cer­e­monies in and around Bi­har,” he says.

Does he know any Hindi songs? “Oh, the ba­sic sur­vival lingo: Namaste ji, aap sun­der hain, pyas lagi hain, mu­jhe bhuk lagi hain,” he says. An en­tre­pre­neur by pro­fes­sion, Sa­muel is a self-con­fessed fan of pa­neer and but­tered roti. His next cover? “Lungi Dance on African drums. I want to thank Ra­jnikanth for mak­ing all of this pos­si­ble.”
