Actor Amit Sadh (top), who is gearing up for the release of Raagdesh, says that the film’s director Tigmanshu Dhulia is “incredible” as a filmmaker and “a great person” as well.

Asked about his experience, Amit says, “I believe you do your best work with the people you enjoy working with. [Tigmanshu] is an incredible director and a great person. He knows me well and knows how to get the best out of me.”

The period drama tells the famous story of the 1945-46 Red Fort trials of three Indian National Army officers.

Amit says that for portraying his character of Lt Col Gurbaksh Singh Dhillon, it took him a lot of research. “I really wanted to do the story and the [officer] justice by ensuring I give it the respect it deserves, which meant going to great lengths to research the story and my character,” he says.

“With a story like this, researching all points of view were crucial in playing the character,” he adds.

The cast also includes Kunal Kapoor and Mohit Marwah.
