KJO REGRETS HIS ‘JOKE’ ON NEPOTISM

Hindustan Times (Patna) - Live - - Front Page -

Filmmaker Karan Johar has clarified that his now infamous “nepotism rocks” slogan at a recent awards show was “misplaced, misunderstood”. In an interview with a leading news channel, he said, “I don’t believe that ‘nepotism rocks’... If [there’s] anything that rocks, it’s your talent, hard work and conviction. It’s the energy you bring to your job. What we said was meant to be a joke, which I think has been misplaced, misunderstood and I think it went wrong. I regret it.”
