Actor Amit Tandon (left) confirms that his marriage with wife Ruby is going through a rough patch, but he is focusing on not letting it affect their seven-year-old daughter Jiyana. The two met through social media, and have been married for 10 years. They are staying separately now. “I won’t comment on anything right now. All I can say is that I want to make sure my daughter is taken care of. I don’t want her to be affected negatively,” says Amit, known for the role of Abhimanyu Modi in the TV show, Dill Mill Gayye. According to some reports, the reason behind the couple’s separation is that Amit is having an affair. The actor, however, denies it. “Whatever is being reported about infidelity is wrong. We’ve been together for a while... Issues started to arise sometime back. There were compatibility issues,” says Amit, adding that he and Ruby are trying hard to reach a level of understanding which would benefit their daughter.

“We’re trying to get to a place where we can be there for each other and our child in the best way possible. And, I think, that’s what mature adults need to do. There is a lot of stuff being said. But I don’t want to divulge too much [about it] because at the end of the day, our child will be affected by this the most, and she is my biggest concern,” he says.
