‘IT HURTS WHEN I’M CAST IN OLDER ROLES’

Hindustan Times (Patna) - Live - - HT City | Time Out -

English actor Dominic West (right) was taken aback when he found out that the creators of the science-fiction film Tomb Raider wanted to cast him as the protagonist, Lara Croft’s father. In fact, this isn’t the first time that the actor has essayed older roles, and not the lead role— Money Monster (2016) and The Awakening, to name a few. The actor admits that he feels upset when he isn’t cast in lead roles.

“It does hurt and anyone who says it doesn’t is lying,” he says. West says he was unimpressed about his character arc in Tomb Raider at first, but he is now happy the way director Roar Uthaug has reshaped the film.
