Actors such as Amitabh Bachchan, and Rajkummar Rao were given much praise for their changed physical appearances in their films, Paa (2009) and Raabta. However, Kriti Sanon, (right) who dressed up like a warrior princess in Raabta, doesn’t think that actors get many opportunities to experiment with their looks in films, unless the script asks for it.

“It is super exciting to do something like that. We keep doing so many films, but don’t get to change the way we look,” says Kriti, who made her debut with Heropanti in 2014. “I just feel that as actors, you can’t experiment much with your looks. So there is only so much that you can do to yourself to make the audience feel that you are a different character,” she says.

However, the actor adds that a changed physical appearance has a strong impact on the audience. “It’s just a matter of someone writing a role like that. You don’t do it, unless the script demands it,” she says.
