JADA PINKETT SMITH WANTS GIRLS TRIP SE­QUEL

Ac­tor Jada Pinkett Smith (above) is con­fi­dent that a se­quel to her new com­edy Girls Trip will be made fol­low­ing the movie’s suc­cess at the box of­fice. The film about four fe­male friends who go on a week­end trip to­gether to a New Orleans mu­sic fes­ti­val got rave re­views and banked over USD 30 mil­lion in its open­ing week­end at the box of­fice.

Jada is sure that the pro­duc­tion house will re­unite the cast, which also in­cludes Regina Hall, Queen Lat­i­fah and Tif­fany Had­dish, for an­other out­ing, re­ported Con­tact­mu­sic. “We’ve talked about do­ing a se­quel, so we’ll see if it hap­pens, but I think with the suc­cess of the movie it will hap­pen,” Jada says. “It’s just done USD 30 mil­lion at the week­end, so I’m so proud,” she adds.
