JADA PINKETT SMITH WANTS GIRLS TRIP SEQUEL
Actor Jada Pinkett Smith (above) is confident that a sequel to her new comedy Girls Trip will be made following the movie’s success at the box office. The film about four female friends who go on a weekend trip together to a New Orleans music festival got rave reviews and banked over USD 30 million in its opening weekend at the box office.
Jada is sure that the production house will reunite the cast, which also includes Regina Hall, Queen Latifah and Tiffany Haddish, for another outing, reported Contactmusic. “We’ve talked about doing a sequel, so we’ll see if it happens, but I think with the success of the movie it will happen,” Jada says. “It’s just done USD 30 million at the weekend, so I’m so proud,” she adds.
