David Guetta wants to create timeless music
French singer and DJ David Guetta (right) says that he wants his music to appeal to all generations.
The 49-year-old believes that he can create such music by using underlying emotions, reported Contactmusic.
“I’m trying to do something timeless. People always want to listen to something new. Emotions are the same. There’s not a new emotion that is going to come out, because we are human beings,” Guetta says.
He always wanted to be a DJ, since he was 12 years old — something he feels was crazy as there were no famous DJs during that time. “There was no glamour. I was just obsessed with music and I was into the technical aspect of creating it,” he adds.
Guetta doesn’t know where this obsession came from, as there were no musicians in his family. “My mum thought that everything I was doing was stupid. She was a communist so she felt like all this is superficial,” he says.
