Lead actors praise Wind River director
Actors Elizabeth Olsen (above right) and Jeremy Renner (above left) have praised first-time filmmaker Taylor Sheridan, who has directed them in Wind River.
During the film’s Los Angeles premiere, the lead actors said that they would love to collaborate with the filmmaker again, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
“Being a director is all about perspective. Taylor’s perspective as a writer comes across in the first 10 pages. I get where he’s going. He is patient, raw, unapologetic and harrowing,” said Renner. “The next job I do, outside of the Avengers, will be with him. Otherwise, I probably won’t be on the screen.”
Olsen said, “[Sheridan] is one of the most direct communicators I know. It was a nice creative experience.”
Sheridan will next direct a TV drama about billiondollar land developments that will star Kevin Costner. “I am shooting it like a movie... It’s either gonna look like a really long movie, or it’s gonna be an abject failure. I don’t know which one yet,” he said.
