David Hasselhoff in talks for a Knight Rider reboot
Actor David Hasselhoff (left) has revealed that he and filmmaker James Gunn are in talks for a reboot of the hit TV show Knight Rider. Some reports have said that the new venture would be a film; some have said that it would be new telly series.
Hasselhoff played the lead character Michael Knight (right) in the original TV series from 1982 to 1986, and he says that discussions with Gunn, director of Guardians of the Galaxy, have gone well, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “I’ve given some ideas to James for Knight Rider and he responded in a big way,” he says. “If it does go forward, I don’t want it to be spoofed like Baywatch,” says the actor nicknamed The Hoff, best known for the hit lifeguard show, Baywatch.
