Enjoy sumptuous food at Patna zoo
PATNA: Here are some new year gifts for the Patnaites.
A renovated and tastefully designed restaurant at the Patna zoo is ready to offer people the luxury of sumptuous food along with the view of the lake, the lush green vegetation and a wide variety of wildlife species.
Those who are fond of ice cream and other dairy products, do not need to go out as a new Sudha parlour has been set up near the toy train station at the Patna zoo.
Deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi launched these facilities on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Modi said that many new things have been added to the zoo to enhance its attractions.
“The electronic ticketing system has already been introduced and the entry ticket too has been made more attractive. The newly developed restaurant too is a part of this plan. More than R19 lakh has been spent on the project,” he said. At the ground floor, there are four stalls of Chinese food, South Indian cuisines, ice cream and snacks. But the restaurant at the first floor has been designed to offer varieties of Dosas and other vegetarian cuisines. An open terrace is also attached to the restaurant to enjoy food in open.
The Patna zoo director, Abhay Kumar said, “Ice cream ball of hardly Rs 5 will also be available at the Sudha parlour.” A floating jetty has been launched to make the boating facility at the park more convenient. “But the boating will not be allowed on New Year day. A couple of two seater boats have also been launched and eight more such boats will be brought in the coming days,” he said.
