All set to make his big screen debut with Loveratri, Aayush Sharma is more “excited” than nervous. “We have been waiting for a very

long time for this film. Once you shoot, you keep thinking of how people will react to it. So, I’m very excited. I can’t wait for people to see and enjoy the film,” says Aayush, whose debut film’s trailer released recently.

Married to Salman Khan’s sister, Arpita, Aayush is a young father to a two-year-old boy, Ahil. He admits that it wasn’t easy to be away for shoot for long and not see his son for days at stretch.

“Well, I can say God bless FaceTime. That’s one thing that me and Ahil used to do a lot every day, but it was still very hectic. I was shooting in Gujarat, and most of the time we were shooting late at night. So, I didn’t really get a lot of time with him but we just talked a little bit here and there. Seeing him for an hour or two in a day is all I could give him in the past couple of months,” shares Aayush, adding that to make up to Ahil, “we all went for a holiday in New York.”

Aayush can’t contain his excitement while talking about Ahil’s reaction to the film’s trailer and on seeing his dad on screen. “Ahil loves cartoons and he thinks that I’m one of those cartoon characters that come on TV. He’s still figuring it out. But his reaction has been the sweetest. When he saw the teaser, he looked at me and asked, ‘Papi, is that you?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah’. So, he was more engaged looking at me and telling Arpita that it was me on screen.”

When asked if he sees his son eventually becoming an actor, Aayush quips, “I think Ahil is more popular than me or his mom. So, with the kind of attention he gets, he’s killing it. Somewhere he thinks that he is already an actor, for sure. As for his career, he’s completely free to decide what he wants to do when he grows up but if he wants to be an actor, I hope he works hard towards it.”
