There’s nothing more comfortable than a pair of pyjamas that you slip into at night. And these days, celebrities such as Gigi Hadid, Priyanka Chopra, Selena Gomez and many more, are flaunting sleepwear as outerwear. And they are rocking the look for sure. “From sleepwear to street wear, fashion wakes up to pyjamas. Sales are soaring, thanks to the celebrity-led trend, which adopts sleepwear as the latest way to look chic in the heat. The pyjama fashion trend has slowly been making itself known on runways, red carpets and streets, but taking your bedroom wear outdoors without looking slovenly is no easy feat. This pyjama trend could possibly be the most relaxed approach to style yet,” says celebrity stylist Eshaa Amin. We pick fun looks for you to try out on your next outing. It may be unconventional to incorporate it in your daily wear, but who says there have to be rules in fashion, right? Go on, pick your favourite jammies!

Rihanna definitely turned heads in this lavender satin pyjama set, including an overcoat, bra and pants. The subtle heart motifs printed on the coat and pants give it a dual colour effect. Rihanna chose to go all bold for a studio recording. For a subtler version, you could maybe opt for a bralet or crop top underneath. Model Gigi Hadid was spotted twice in this trend and we love how she carries it off. This blue number teamed with a red bra and sunglasses, adds the necessary contrast to this outfit. Singer Selena Gomez rocks the out-of-bed look in this pink collar tee and pyjamas. The animal print and patches complement the colour, and make it an ideal outfit for a brunch or movie date with BFFS. The messy bun Selena sports can be replaced with plaits or a ponytail.

Go corporate with this outfit. The rust-coloured robe with pyjama pants and a mesh black top could be an ideal office wear, if you don’t have a dress code. You can complete the look with a pair of gold wedges and a laptop bag. If you love to dress up, this floral printed pyjama suit is the ideal choice. While this can pass off as a pant suit, you could accessorise it with a handbag or a pair of pumps to give it a more feminine touch.
