Huma’s detox plan now in a book

Huma Qureshi made a pub­lic dec­la­ra­tion on her In­sta­gram han­dle to stick to a detox­i­fi­ca­tion diet for 28 days. She shared her food plan with her fol­low­ers for 28 days and the posts cre­ated such a hype that she was re­cently ap­proached by nu­tri­tion writ­ers to con­trib­ute to their diet books. A source says, “Dur­ing the detox, Huma de­clared that she would avoid re­fined sugar, gluten, soda, al­co­hol, pro­cessed food and wheat and abide by a strict diet in order to cleanse her sys­tem. Set­ting a goal to be healthy, she in­spired her fol­low­ers to do the same.” Through her posts, Huma con­veyed that no mat­ter what your body type is, one must fo­cus on “be­ing fit” and “should not be ob­sessed over be­ing un­nat­u­rally skinny”. “De­spite trav­el­ling and hav­ing a hec­tic shoot sched­ule, Huma was un­de­terred and came up with sim­ple hacks at chal­leng­ing times. She cou­pled her detox diet with a gym and aerial yoga,” the source adds. Cur­rently shoot­ing for Kaala Karikaalan op­po­site Ra­jinikanth, she got her trainer to ac­com­pany her on the sets. Talk­ing about it, Huma says, “I am glad that my detox diet will be in­cor­po­rated in a book. The point of eat­ing right is to feel good from within. It takes will power and dis­ci­pline to hang in there and make healthy choices. It’s im­por­tant to talk about the fact that the weigh­ing scale is not a mea­sure of your hap­pi­ness or your worth.”
