One held for smuggling cattle in Alwar
The Alwar police have arrested a person, who was allegedly part of a group smuggling 40 cattle from the farms of Khohri village in Alwar district. “10-12 persons were seen with many cattle. When police told them to stop, most of them fled the spot, but two persons started firing at police,” said Rajeev Kumar Dudi, the station house officer Tapukra police station. No police personnel was injured during the incident, he added. One of two persons firing at the police was arrested, Dudi said. The arrested person has been identified as Shezad Mev (41). A country-made gun has been recovered from his possession, the police said.
