VASHI: After scoring 92.5% and topping the science section at Vashi’s Father Agnel Multipurpose School and Junior College, 18-year old Saurabh

Jagtap is elated. The Panvel resident says he had expected to score this high. “I had really put in lots of effort and prepared well for the examination. I am glad the hard-work has paid off,” said Jagtap. Jagtap scored 95 out of 100 in physics and mathematics and 92 in chemistry. The secret to his success, he says, was using different types of notes. “For me, reading different notes helped, external notes don’t restrict your knowledge to one source, and help you understand the concept thoroughly. Mock exams help too,” he said. “Initially, I studied for 2-3 hours every day. After December, I studied at least 5-6 hours a day. I made sure I touched upon each subject,” said Jagtap, who wants to be an engineer.
