NEW DELHI: The Rashtriya Swayam­se­vak Sangh (RSS) and its af­fil­i­ated or­gan­i­sa­tions are get­ting in­creas­ingly in­volved in mat­ters of gov­er­nance. Al­ready seek­ing to make in­ter­ven­tions in is­sues con­cern­ing ed­u­ca­tion, eco­nomic re­forms, labour laws, et al, se­nior RSS func­tionar­ies re­cently met Union home min­is­ter Ra­j­nath Singh and de­fence min­is­ter Manohar Par­rikar to dis­cuss is­sues con­cern­ing na­tional se­cu­rity, such as cross­bor­der terror and in­fil­tra­tions, ceasefire vi­o­la­tions and chang­ing de­mo­graphic pro­file in bor­der ar­eas, and ex-ser­vice­men’s ag­i­ta­tion over the one rank one pen­sion (OROP) de­mand.
