Irrigation scam: ACB questions Ajit Pawar for 5 hours
MUMBAI: After multiple summonses, former deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar on Wednesday appeared before the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) in connection with alleged irregularities in irrigation projects in the Raigad district during the Congress-NCP rule.
Pawar reached the ACB’s Worli headquarters around 4.45pm and was questioned for around five hours. This is the first time he is being questioned in the case. Sources said Pawar was asked about alleged misappropriations in the Balganga dam project.
The ACB had questioned NCP state president Sunil Tatkare a day earlier.
