Ir­ri­ga­tion scam: ACB ques­tions Ajit Pawar for 5 hours

MUM­BAI: Af­ter mul­ti­ple sum­monses, former deputy chief min­is­ter Ajit Pawar on Wed­nes­day ap­peared be­fore the anti-cor­rup­tion bureau (ACB) in con­nec­tion with al­leged ir­reg­u­lar­i­ties in ir­ri­ga­tion projects in the Raigad dis­trict dur­ing the Congress-NCP rule.

Pawar reached the ACB’s Worli head­quar­ters around 4.45pm and was ques­tioned for around five hours. This is the first time he is be­ing ques­tioned in the case. Sources said Pawar was asked about al­leged mis­ap­pro­pri­a­tions in the Bal­ganga dam project.

The ACB had ques­tioned NCP state pres­i­dent Sunil Tatkare a day ear­lier.
