Traffic diversions on CBD flyover for 6-day repair work CBD BELAPUR:
Navi Mumbai traffic police has announced noentry and alternative routes to ensure smooth flow of traffic on the Mumbai-Pune road on SionPanvel highway in view of the repair work to be undertaken on the CBD flyover.
According to Arvind Salve, deputy commissioner of police (traffic), “Repair work will be taken up on the Mumbai-Pune lane of CBD flyover in CBD Belapur from November 1 starting from 10am till November 6 midnight.”
He added, “At present, heavy and very heavy vehicles travelling to Pune use the flyover in large numbers. In order to ensure that there is smooth and controlled traffic on the route, we have taken a ‘No entry and alternative route’ decision.”
Salve stated, “No entries have been declared in some sections for the heavy vehicles while alternative routes have also been suggested.”
He concluded, “We appeal to the residents and motorists to cooperate with us to ensure that the work is completed in time and there are no traffic issues during this time.”
