Traf­fic diver­sions on CBD fly­over for 6-day re­pair work CBD BE­LA­PUR:

Navi Mum­bai traf­fic po­lice has an­nounced noen­try and al­ter­na­tive routes to en­sure smooth flow of traf­fic on the Mum­bai-Pune road on SionPan­vel high­way in view of the re­pair work to be un­der­taken on the CBD fly­over.

Ac­cord­ing to Arvind Salve, deputy com­mis­sioner of po­lice (traf­fic), “Re­pair work will be taken up on the Mum­bai-Pune lane of CBD fly­over in CBD Be­la­pur from Novem­ber 1 start­ing from 10am till Novem­ber 6 mid­night.”

He added, “At present, heavy and very heavy ve­hi­cles trav­el­ling to Pune use the fly­over in large num­bers. In or­der to en­sure that there is smooth and con­trolled traf­fic on the route, we have taken a ‘No en­try and al­ter­na­tive route’ de­ci­sion.”

Salve stated, “No en­tries have been de­clared in some sec­tions for the heavy ve­hi­cles while al­ter­na­tive routes have also been sug­gested.”

He con­cluded, “We ap­peal to the res­i­dents and mo­torists to co­op­er­ate with us to en­sure that the work is com­pleted in time and there are no traf­fic is­sues dur­ing this time.”
