Cidco sets Jan deadline for homebuyers to pay
LUCKY DRAW WINNERS HAD BEEN ALLOTTED FLATS ON MARCH 24, 2014 AND THEY HAD TO PAY BY OCTOBER 2015.
KHARGHAR: Applicants of the Valley Shilp Housing Scheme under City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) can heave a sigh of relief as the planning authority has extended the payment deadline to January 2016.
Lucky draw winners had been allotted flats in the premier housing scheme at Sector 36 in Kharghar on March 24, 2014. The 1,224 winning applicants had to make the payment for the flats by end of October this year.
However, as many applicants had not made the payments, Cidco has extended the deadline to January 13, 2016.
“Cidco had received excellent response to its housing project in Kharghar. The successful applicants had been chosen through a lucky draw and they were given allotment letters,” said Mohan Ninawe, chief public relations officer of Cidco.
“Several applicants had paid the registration charges and the instalments. However, some applicants did not pay the balance amount thereafter,” said Ninawe. “Cidco had received appeals from several applicants to extend the time limit for the payment.”
