END WA­TER WOES AT TALOJA, SAY IN­DUS­TRI­AL­ISTS

TALOJA: The Taloja Man­u­fac­tur­ers As­so­ci­a­tion (TMA) held a meet­ing ear­lier this week to put an end to their wa­ter woes. Ear­lier this month, a two-day wa­ter cut was im­posed in the Taloja MIDC area, which had an ad­verse im­pact on the func­tion­ing of the com­pa­nies in the vicin­ity. San­deep Don­gre, TMA pres­i­dent, said, “The er­ratic wa­ter sup­ply in the in­dus­trial belt has af­fected the func­tion­ing of 893 com­pa­nies. There was been lit­tle or er­ratic wa­ter sup­ply for the past couple of weeks.” Shankar Jag­tap, MIDC ex­ec­u­tive en­gi­neer, wa­ter sup­ply, said, “We are aware of the sit­u­a­tion and as­sure all that a so­lu­tion to the is­sue will be found soon.”
