WHY IS AJIT PAWAR SUPPORTING THE SMART CITY PROJECT?

The opposition has questioned why the NCP leader is fighting for the inclusion of Pimpri-Chinchwad in the smart city list while the NCP in Navi Mumbai claims it will destroy the local bodies. “Ajit Pawar is going to hold a meeting on December 14 on the issue as he wants it to be included along with Pune. Doesn’t he feel that the smart city project is not in the interest of the local body there?” said a BJP leader.
