MAIN SUSPECT’S BIZ LOSSES LED TO THE DOUBLE MURDER: POLICE
Questioning of the four suspects arrested for the Kandivli double murder has revealed that Vidhyadhar Rajbhar, the prime suspect, who remains at large, had run up losses of about Rs50 lakh in an imitation jewellery business he ran, the police said on Wednesday.
This, the arrested suspects have told cops, made Vidhyadhar desperate for money and eventually led to the deaths of Hema Upadhyay and her l awyer Haresh Bhambani, whose bodies were found in cardboard boxes in a drain in Kandivli on Saturday.
Vidhyadhar had sold two rooms in the chawl at Laljipada in Kandivli (West) and invested the money in an imitation jewellery business, partnering with two to three friends, the suspects have told the police.
