COLDEST DAY OF SEASON YET: CITY CHILLS AT 15.6°C
There was a nip in the air on Thursday morning, when Mumbai’s suburbs recorded its lowest temperature of the season so far at 15.6 degrees Celsius.
The drop, the weather department said, is normal for this time of the year and is caused by winds from the country’s north-east. The minimum temperature in south Bombay hovered around the normal 20.5-degrees mark.
Days are getting cooler — the maximum temperature in Colaba was four degrees below normal at 27.5 degrees Celsius. In the suburbs, it was a degree less than normal. The chill is likely to stay for the next few days.
