JAITLEY SLAMS CONGRESS FOR APING AAP
NEW DELHI: Attacking the “current generation” of the Congress leadership for weakening “what their ancestors established” in terms of setting “healthy precedents” in parliamentary democracy, finance minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday said the Aam Aadmi Party’s success in Delhi seems to have “misled” the Congress that “vulgarity” brought votes.
This came a day after the winter session of Parliament ended after repeated disruptions, especially in the Rajya Sabha, with the Congress demanding Jaitley’s resignation in connection to alleged irregularities in the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA).
The minister headed the DDCA for about a decade but was not involved in its day-to-day activities, as noted byy the Serious Fraud Investigation Office ( SFIO) thathat cleared him of all charges dur-during the UPAPA regime.
