NAVI MUMBAI: Music lovers can engage themselves in a performance-based concert at Agri Koli Sanskriti Bhavan in Nerul this Sunday.

Seawoods-based Euphony Centre for Performing Arts will be conducting their annual theme-based musical concert on January 3 from 6pm.

Every year, performances are interwoven around a specific theme on which the concert is based.

This time, the concept is ‘Udaan – A journey taken’ which will showcase the efforts of nearly 70 children, the youngest of them being a six-year-old.

Bela Peshattiwar, founder of Euphony and a pianist, said, “Udaan features a diverse, yet mellifluous set of songs from various genres of music.

Starting with a heartening rendition of ‘Life of the Party’ by Shawn Mendes, the programme will make a seamless turn into the more classical sounds of Chopin and Joplin.”

In Sunday’s event, an eclectic set of performances featuring duets and trios (Four and six hands on the piano, respectively) and two performances dedicated to percussion (featuring a drum circle played only on buckets) are some of performances to look forward to.
