Projects of 2 Thane schools among top 16 in country
The science projects of AK Joshi English Medium School and Shreerang Vidyalaya, both Thane-based schools, have been selected as the best projects in India at the National Children Science Congress 2015 held at Chandigarh in December.
The two were among the 16 best projects in India. The project of AK Joshi English Medium School higlighted the relationship between humidity and preservations of grains. Shreerang Vidyalaya students prepared a project on climate change and its effect.
“This year, the theme was ‘Understanding Weather and Climate’. More than 2,500 projects were presented at the district-level. Twenty-seven projects were selected. Of them, three from Shreerang Vidyalaya, one each from AK Joshi English Medium School and Bedekar School,” said Surendra Dighe, president of National Children Science Congress.
