The Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) health department has planned to install a general packet radio service (GPRS) in its ambulances. Installing GPRS will help the KDMC track the vehicle’s location and help it manoeuvre the traffic snarls.

“In order to help the ambulances move out of the traffic jams, we have proposed installing GPRS in them. This will help us track the ambulance’s location. We will then seek help from police,” said Smita Rode, health officer, KDMC.
