“Navi Mumbai has become the economic hub of the country. We had shown it recently during the smart city exhibition that gave details of Rs50,000- crore investment in the region. The private investment is being exhibited again, showing that the city has indeed become the economic hub due to such developments,” said Bhatia.

He added, “With Cidco too planning 55,000 houses for the lower- income group and economically weaker section and the private developers coming up with their projects, it is a win-win situation for buyers.”

The exhibition is expecting a huge footfall this year and leading financial institutions such as LIC, State Bank of India, Indiabulls, Bank of Maharashtra, Andhra Bank and so on too have set up stalls for homebuyers.

Vasant Bhadra, vice-president of BANM, said: “Through the exhibition, we are not only promoting the real estate but also

Navi Mumbai. This city is developing in all aspects, because of which people are coming from other parts of Mumbai and Maharashtra. Various mega projects in the offing will give a distinct identity to the city.”

Haresh Chheda, the exhibition committee convenor, said it was the right time to buy property in Navi Mumbai.

“Available land is in shortage in the region. The property prices will go up manifold due to the huge demand that exists,” he said.

He said mega projects such

as the international airport, Mumbai- Pune expressway expansion and the Nhava Sheva Sewri link are going to have a positive impact on the property market in the region.

Bhupendra Shah, the trustee of BANM, said: “Properties from all over Navi Mumbai and its surrounding areas are on offer to suit every budget. The properties displayed in the exhibition are not from Navi Mumbai, Panvel, Ulwe, Dronagiri and Taloja but also Karanjade, Badlapur, Karjat, Pen, Khopoli, Alibag, Pune and Nanded.”
