GROUPS CLASH AT URAN, MAN BOOKED FOR FIRING IN THE AIR
Following a fight between two groups of people, a resident from Uran fired in the air to scare his rivals on Wednesday. Through no one was injured in the firing, the police have booked him under the Arms Act.
According to the police, the complaint Rahul Kode, 38, had gone to Uran post office for some work but his work did not get done. He did not good response from the an woman employee.
So he allegedly passed a comment at her. The woman felt insulted and she called her family members to the office.
“A fight between the two groups followed and they started attacking people from other group. Ajay Thakur, the woman’s relative, had come to the spot with his licenced revolver. However, he fell during the attack. Then his relative Dault Gharat took his revolver and fired in the air to scare the other group,” said Abhay Mahajan, police inspector from Uran police station.
“All the accused were later admitted to hospital as they reportedly suffered injuries in the attack. Therefore, we have not been able to arrest anyone so far. We have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Arms Act,” said Mahajan.
